Anchor Bay Marina Baltimore

September 27, 2017   2:00pm

WE HAVE ARRIVED!!!  It was a short 3 hr cruise from Rock Hall MD

While we were approaching Baltimore, we saw a nice boat washed up on the rocky shore. Don't know what happened here?

Some Tiki Bar pics and surrounding areas at Anchor Bay East Marina. Just chilling after washing the boat from the salty sea water.

We are at Anchor Bay East marina and have docked the boat here for the time being.

SOME FINAL PICS OF OUR STAY IN BALTIMORE

Synopsis

All in all this trip was a total experience. We all learned a lot especially me the captain and how important it is to be professional in every way when piloting a boat of this size. Thanks to Peter for doing the secondary check on the engines before we left. Dave and Mona our friends taught me a wealth of information well underway and encouraged me to do things I would not normally would. They brought us places to stay on the hook in the night anchored in a small bay off the Atlantic called Sandy Hook.Dave and Mona also showed us how to look for cheaper fuel prices, and in general navigating the waters and watching out for things not noted on our chart plotter such as crab pots on the channel, or shoaling not noted on charts. If you were reading our blog, there was an example of a late model vessel washed upon rocks.

Thanks to Rico and Sean for being the first mates and being on this adventure with me.

This blog will continue when I come back to Baltimore in a month to take it further south, final destination  MYRTLE BEACH  SOUTH CAROLINA.
