The Erie Canal
September 19, 2017
This morning we are beginning our venture into the Erie Canal and a multitude locks. It's 6am and we are all up as usual to get a head start and manage to do as many locks as possible. The weather is nice again today and is supposed t bring no more than 5 mile an hr winds.. We will do our inspection of the engine room before we depart, a daily routine. Check oil levels, fluids etc.
We did meet up with our boater friends Mona and Dave and will depart with them this morning for the rest of the trip.
More of the same. Locks, locks, locks.

Time 6:am
Weather: Woke up this morning to dense fog at lock 17. Our normal departure of 7:am most likely will be delayed until the fog lifts. Our goal today will be to make it to Waterford which is where we will meet the Hudson River. Everything depends on the timing of the locks, traffic westbound making us wait our turn.
When we arrived here at lock 17 yesterday at 5pm we hung around with our friends Mona and Dave, did a little drone flying, took a ride on the path between locks and barbecued burgers.
We decided to watch some tv but that ended pretty quickly as all three of us were falling asleep at 8:30pm! I guess getting up early the last three days did us in.
OMG! looking at the date today I realized it's my wife's and my ANNIVERSARY!
MARRIED 37 years..
